For women who are likely to benefit from HRT, an initial prescription for 3 months of medication will be issued. As an approximate guide, including postage, the cost of combined HRT (i.e. estrogen and progesterone) is £55-60.
Most vaginal estrogen preparations cost £25-30.
Testosterone, if prescribed, is priced separately — your clinician will explain the cost and options at your consultation.
Initial medication and any repeat medication that is issued within the consultation do not involve any additional private prescription fee; however, repeat prescriptions ordered outside of a consultation will incur a £33 repeat prescription fee (this is separate from the cost of the medication).
